I've just bought a new wa****ng machine, and it takes about twice as long to
do a normal cycle as our old one. The man in the shop said that all new
wa****ng machines will take longer, since they are now more efficient with
the water they use. Does anybody out there know whether this man is just
having me on, or is there some truth to this?
