Call for Papers
Jointly Organised by IEEE Computational Intelligence Society,
Intelligent Systems Research Centre, and School of Computing and
Intelligent Systems, University of Ulster Magee campus.
The Workshop and Summer School is inspired by the pioneers of
evolutionary computing community and their enormous contribution to
the field, in a spirit of remembrance and tribute, and as a means of
passing on their ideas to new generations of researchers. The Workshop
& Summer School will bring prominent experts of Evolutionary Computing
together with the participants and the new generation researchers.
In spite of numerous successful applications of evolutionary
computing, there is a need in more rigorous studies of the
evolutionary computational techniques in different avenues of science,
engineering, technology, social, cultural, economic systems, so that
new breakthroughs can be fostered. The objective of the Workshop/
Summer School is to provide a forum for discussion and dissemination
of ideas on evolutionary computing, to inspire participants to further
efforts and to contribute to advances in research.
It seeks to engender participation in the adventure of research in the
field of Evolutionary Computing and will provide up-to-date
information, state-of-the-art knowledge on emerging areas and address
im****tant issues dealing with complex, multivariate and nonlinear
systems, ranging from basic to applied research. Presentations,
special sessions and poster sessions will be organized in which
participants may exchange formally and informally information about
their latest findings, main research activity and current issues. The
topics covered by workshop/summer school include, but are not limited
to: Evolutionary Programming, Evolution Strategies, Genetic
Algorithms, Genetic Programming, Differential Evolution, Cultural
Evolution, and Symbiotic Evolution. Special sessions will also be
organized under guidance of International Advisory Committee.
Graduate students especially PhD, post doctoral researchers,
scientists, practitioners, engineers, medical researchers, biologists,
computer scientists, physicists and applied mathematicians are invited
to submit research papers to join us and to learn about the recent
developments in evolutionary computing. The submitted papers will be
peer reviewed by international programme committee for publication in
the proceedings.
