I was very surprised to see how few college freshmen really understood anything about the effects of nuclear weapons. While I missed "Duck and Cover" by quite a bit, I was always very aware of the very horrible effects of these weapons. Thier ignorance was most frightening when nuclear arms are such an issue today. I urge you to take the time to explore these sites, and teach your children (and remind yourselves) why these weapons are not really equivalent to "regular" bombs. http://www.pcf.city.hiro****ma.jp/index_e2.html The Official Homepage of Hiro****ma Peace Memorial Museum http://www.exploratorium.edu/nagasaki/ Remembering Nagasaki http://www.cfo.doe.gov/me70/manhattan/hiro****ma.htm The Manhattan Project: An Interactive History -- http://homeschool.resource.ods.org http://surge.ods.org http://homeschoolresource.blogspot.com/
