Medical Education

by Sheldon <sheldonhull@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jul 9, 2007 at 04:58 PM

I know this may have been asked before, and is probably a very violate
question, so please do not take this as racist. I don't know know a
lot about the medical community and am wondering since different
standards for each country apply, I'd like to be educated on this.

Do overseas countries in GENERAL (i know it flucates) medical
education to the USA? I have a gastro doctor educated in India, and I
want to know if the standards they hold to the training of their
doctors is substandard or equal to what the USA offers. I personally
feel a bit blown off and not like what I'm personally going through
matters at all, like I'm on an assembly line, and I want to know
before I look around, if the educational background of the doctor
makes a major difference in their ability to find out what is going
wrong in me.

Thanks for your time, and please understand I really just need some
understanding, no flaming!
Sheldon
