Several years ago I was found to have a permanently-active
family of killer T-cells, and was told they were a symptom of
some disease, so had a bone-marrow biopsy (negative), and an
annual blood-test checkup (at which the doc just asks if I am
well, and writes out the forms for the next year's blood test).
Recently I moved to another area of the UK, and the haematology
doc I saw recently told me that these cells are actually
'damaged' cells (e.g. danaged by X-rays), and were only one step
away from lymphoma.
On the re****t to my GP, he wrote:
"Diagnosis: Light chain restriction"
I have Googled on that term but can only find detailed medical
articles that defy efforts to understand.
Can anyone point me at some decsription/discussion of the
subject that a medical layman might understand, please?
I found the latest revelation a bit worrying...
