Hello sir,
Many thanks for taking the time and trouble to respond to my post.

Fortunately I already have an appontment with my surgeon later this coming

week, but from the "tone" of your message I gather that this is not 
something that is to be expected.

The "device" is nylon and appears to be some sort of clamp that has been 
clipped closed. There are no threads, just this lump of nylon.

Now I am not a medically oriented person (radio engineer by trade) but the

way I see things is that if you (for whatever reason) ingest any 
undigestable matter then this will (eventually) appear as output. The 
urinary system however, cannot pass any form of solid, unless it has
either 
grown in the urinary tract, or has been "planted" there.

Should I be worried?
