You've made the mistake of believing that ANYONE was fired for their
views!
Seriously - check out www.expelledexposed.com and you'll see that this
isn't the case at all!!
The biggest example they use was the "firing" of Richard Sternberg.
They claim he was fired for publi****ng an article which questioned
evolution... Not only was he NOT fired, but he never had a job there!
He was an unpaid research associate - not an employee. He volunteered
to be editor for 3 years and resigned when his term was about to expire.
Having already resigned he then published an un-peer reviewed article
in the "Proceedings of the Biological Society of Wa****ngton". This is
an absolute no-no in science as every relevant science paper HAS TO be
peer reviewed to be taken seriously.
He didn't have a job to lose, but he did have an office - which he was
allowed to keep BTW.
The whole "firing" story is a bold faced lie!
Don't believe the BS expelled is trying to propagate...
