Introduction to Statistics Through Applications April 13 - May 7, 2004
introduces the basic concepts and methods of statistics. Participants
will do a series of graded exercises over a four-week period using
Excel or R as they gather, summarize, analyze, and interpret data.
Topics include probability, sampling, estimation, hypothesis testing,
and the basics of experiment and survey design. (Level: Beginning.)
An essential refresher course for those charged with teaching advanced
placement and research design courses.
