I very much fear that Keith Ellison is nothing more than a political
shock-jock, who is doing this for the media notoriety. He knows he will
take his oath of office as part of a group with all the other incoming
congressmen and none of them swearing an oath on any kind of Holy book.
His taking the oath on the Koran is nothing more than a blatant photo-op
to out do all the other congressmen.It has nothing to do with the First
amendment or the separation of Church and State.
