Probably not.  When I needed to get text into a product not sup****ted,
I just dictatted into the built-in thing (similar to NotePad or 
SimpleText, and then select, drag, and drop.

I have mostly used TextEdit.  I am a cheapskate.
I only use programs that are free or close to it.
And _every_ one I ever tried says,
"We don't care what the GEDCOM spec says.  You do
it OUR way, or you don't do it."
