  Any version of OS X through 10.4 can launch classic applications.
Starting with 10.5 (current release), you lose that capability.  (I'm
setting up a 10.4-bootable partition on my system to preserve my 1980s
legacy
stuff while I continue to move it to more recent formats and softwares.
I still miss WingZ, which was lost in the 68000 -> powermac transition
in ?8.)
