Your best bet is to go to your public library, which may have a
library-access subscription to one of the paid sites.

By the way, since no one has mentioned it, the names you have given
sound like they might be Jewish.  You should make use of jewishgen.org
(registration required, but free).

Since your relatives ended up in Pittsburgh, I would look at
Philadelphia as a possible ****t of entry.  I've seen non-pay sources
on-line, but wouldn't be able to find them quickly.
