John Colletta's book mentions that there were over a hundred ****ts of 
entry, ranging from ****tland, Maine to Galveston, Texas. I'm sorry if my 
shorthand offended you but I meant to include the Gulf of Mexico. There 
are many such questions that perplex those outside the country, e.g. 
what exactly is the mid-west?

My main concern was that the OP's original question wasn't being fully 
addressed.
