Hmm. I am not sure how much money there is to be made in "stealing" data 
this way. There might be money in having millions of family trees (ask 
Family Tree Maker) but not much in having one. It seems a lot of work to 
hang out in this newsgroup on the off-chance of picking up a few databases

this way. I think you'd be pretty safe in practice in giving your data to 
any regular contributor in this group.
