Good morning
a.. Kingdom of France - Ordre du Mérite militaire (founded in 1759 by
Louis
XV for Protestant officers not eligible for the Order of St. Louis. The
Order was abolished in 1791 during the French Revolution but was
re-instituted by Louis XVIII in 1816 and opened to Muslim officers. It was
again abolished in 1830.)
