I don't know about this theory or searcher, but I remember there was
an article in AGCF about a possible origin of Jacques Bourgeois, 
some illegitimate with another family name.  Perhaps it is the same
theory.  I have a lot of notes not yet indexed so I can't find the
reference at this time.

As far as I know, there are only theories and no definitive origin for
this Acadian settler like many other Acadians.
