The groom may have been Catholic as the children were
not baptized at the church. The civil birth records in
New Orleans list the mother's name in the following
ways: Schaber, Scharburn, Scherbum, Scharbel, Shaler,
Sharber. Her name does seem to begin with Schar___.
Do you know of a website with a list of the Oberämter
in Württemberg?
