No sense in being excessively (and compulsively) rude about it.  Sir
William Segar seems quite interesting, from his ODNB biography, and of
Dutch ancestry--although he would have some English ancestry if his
mother were either a Sherard or a Crackenthorpe, as the biography
states.  There is an impressive ****trait in the ODNB biography.  I've
seen elsewhere that the father of his first wife (Somers) was
supposedly a knight.

I certainly wouldn't mind being a descendant.  But since I'm not ... I
won't be doing anything further on it.
