Sir John Davie, 5th Baronet:
Grandson of the first baronet, through his fourth son, Humphrey Davie, a
merchant of London, who removed, in 1772 to New England in America. Sir
John married Mrs Elizabeth Richards, of New England, by whom he had
three sons and three daughters, and was superceded at his decease, in
1737, by his eldest son, John. (Burke's Peerage, 1829)
