Giles FIRMIN & Susan WARD

by "Don McArthur" <donmac@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > May 7, 2008 at 02:56 PM

This chap was in and out of the colonies. He baptised at least three kids
in Ipswich before 1647 [the first of his IGI kids in Shalford, Es***]

I have just discovered that they were not baptised in Ipswich, Suffolk!
Can
anyone let me have the details of these kids? Do records for that period
in
New England even survive?

His son Giles ~ Shalford 20 Jan 1650 supposedly died in 1725. I presume
he
was the Giles FIRMIN, Clerk of Ovington, Es*** who married Esther FELTON
and
died March 1725. I don't have proof - anyone?

I have a copy of a letter he wrote in which he says his brother [un-named]
in Braintree got his father's Physick books. The elder Giles was
certainly
trained in this discipline, before he changed career path.

Cheers,

Don McArthur.
