Well, yes. That would make Alice's father only 12-13 or so. It needs some
reexamination. A look by y'all was helpful. Back to work.
DR has 1432 for the birthdate of George Neville. Some rootsweb records
list
the birthdate of George Neville as 1423 instead of 1433. That would
certainly fit this birthdate of Alice, but I need to investigate the
timeline. That looks no better. I have an alternate birthdate for Alice
of
c1449 which would help slightly, but not much.

The Lives of the Lord Chancellors and Keepers of the Great Seal of England
.... By John Campbell Campbell
page 364
Let's see. This book says George Neville was consecrated as a Bishop
before
he was 25. I had dates he was provided to the See Feb 4, 1458 and
consecrated as Bishop of Exeter Dec 3, 1458, so he would then be born no
earlier than 1433 or so. The date of 1432 or more likely 1433 or even
1434
seems to be sup****ted.

Anniversary Essays Medieval History by Students of Charles Homer Haskins
By Charles Taylor
says he became Bishop of Exeter in 1456. 25 years earlier would be 1431,
or
1432 would certainly fit as a birthdate.
1432-1433 is still the prime birth time.

The Publications of the Surtees Society
This mentions Thomas Tunstall who married Alice Neville. He was the son of
Thomas Tunstall and Eleanor. That is OK. Well, that's the same Lord Thomas
Tunstall and wife that I had. Which Alice Neville might be another
question.
I see no birthdates for Alice at all.
Son Brian Tunstall of Lord Thomas Tunstall is the one who died at Flodden
Field. I had it that way also. It appears that Brian's sister D_____ is
another that needs some scrutiny.
(thinking out loud here) I'll set this aside and make a fresh attack
later.

I think if you would examine in detail the life of George Neville,
Archbishop of York and his parents, that you'll find yourself *quite*
hard pressed to force Alice back to "c 1445"
Without this push backward, it might be a bit more difficult to
sup****t the forward line. So that might be the first place to look
for weakness.
