My Ragland cousins made trips years ago to Glamorgan****re and Monmouth****re
in South Wales where they originated before surnames and then to Somerset
County, England where they removed to and on to New Kent County, Virginia.
The early researchers wrote a very large volume on the family and a few
years ago they updated it and added more to it. There are two large
volumes on the Raglands going back to Raglan Castle and Sir Thomas ap
William. They researched the other connecting lines too.
I have done my mtDNA with Family Tree DNA and Agnes Ragland is my oldest
grandmother... mother to mother without a male breakage. Her father is
Stephen Ragland and Mary unknown. Stephen is the son of Evan Ragland the
first one to Virginia and the grandson of Thomas Ragland and Jane Morgan.

What is the source for your statement above that Sir Thomas was born
in 1356?
Thanks
