Yeah, I know about Barack. That is not a secret right now. LOL !
I have Edwin Conway born ca 1610 Worcester, England. He died 28 Oct 1689
in Lancaster Co., Va. He married Martha Eltonhead born 21 Sep 1628
Lanca****re, England and that her and Edwin came to Va and he is recorded
in records in Northampton Co., Va. June 1642. There is a patent of that
date as a headright.
If Edwin is not the son of Sir Edwin iVncent Conway who is his children
that you know of ?
I said at the beginning my FTM is a working one where I can make
corrections if they are needed. So, that means I am searching for the
truth of my lineage.
What does Gary Boyd Roberts say on this ? He is the Presidential guy
with the
pedigrees. :) I could care less about Barack myself.
Also Will, what is your history of genealogy on these lines?

Perhaps. But I find it a bit interesting that W.A.R. doesn't seem to
know or even imply that this Edwin Conway is of a well-heeled family.
See
#14182 http://www.wargs.com/political/obama.html
"Ancestry of Barack Obama", by William Addams Reitwiesner
where Edwin has no date or places associated with him.
The DNB for his pur****ted father only mentions the heir Edward and
states obiqueley that there were "three sons and four daughters"
without naming them.
So one good exercise for you, which you can do *before* responding
(hint hint) is to find a good source in Google Books for stating that
Edwin Conway is the son of Edward the 1st Viscount (by his wife
Dorothy Tracy).
