I just checked my data on my Conway and Eltonhead lines. I will have to
check out further Sir Edwin Vincent Conway and Dorothy Tracy to see if
this is correct or not. If not, it will be removed from my FTM.
This is definitely proven:
In reference to Barack and William Addams Reitweisner lineage and
research I noticed he did not have any dates on my grandparents listed
below:
(1) Edwin Conway
Born: ca 1610 Worcester, England
Died: 28 Oct 1689 Lancaster County, Virginia
Married: Martha Eltonhead daughter of Richard Eltonhead and Ann Sutton
Born: 26 Sep 1628 Lanca****re, England
Died: Aft 1652 in Virginia
I descend from their daughter Eltonhead Conway that married Henry
Thacker, Sr....
(2) Eltonhead Conway
Born: Abt 1646 Northampton County, Virginia
Died: Middle*** County, Virginia
Married: Henry Thacker, Sr.
Born: Abt 1632 Lanca****re, England
Died: Aft 4 Jan 1763 Middle*** County, Virginia
I wonder why Mr. Reitweisner didn't check this information out on
Barack's and my grandparents ? I descend from Barack's mother according
to Mr. Reitsweisner. I also have land grants and other records on my
grandparents that he didn't post either. I also noticed he named some
names not kin to me and there were no birth and death dates or locations.
This was Barack's grandparents from generation to generation going back to
the 5th through the 13th generation.

Will,
I don't need to prove anything to anyone. If you read my posting on the
list I said this was a working FTM which is available for correcting
anything that is not correct.
It does amaze me Will where you take one so called authority over other
ones. We all know we can't believe everything that we read. There are
mistakes made through all of these genealogies that we research on. I try
my best to find records I can believe. That is why I threw those pedigrees
out. So, I could get a feeling for what is correct and what is not. I don't
think that is that hard to understand.
So, what do you rely on for authority on these pedigrees besides Google
Books ? There is Burke's Peerage. What else do you use so the rest of us
know where to g to find correct records ? Please list them for all of us.
:)

William Addams Reitwiesner is not always correct, but his work is
respected and respectable. He oftener than not, cites his sources.
Now it's your turn. If you want to challenge what he says, you will
need to *cite your sources*
