Howerton is quite rare in England. FreeBMD has no Howerton births for 
example.

The LDS site has some from the 1600's with a cluster in Bridgnorth, 
Shrop****re around 1640-80 however this could be a bias due to the way the 
data is collected.

Perhaps a look at the Shrop****re indenture records would be worthwhile.
