I thought this website might be of interest to a number of members of
this group.
http://www.ewyaslacy.org.uk/
It is an informative website on the Ewyas Lacy Hundred in
Hereford****re. It traces the Lord****p of Ewyas Lacy, and had a wide
range of do***ents including brief transcriptions of manorial records,
personal records, probate records, ancient writs, official records
including land tax, parish records and property records. The website
is a searchable database.
One section describes in considerable detail the descent of the
lord****p of Ewyas Lacy up to the present.
Families included in the Lord****p of Ewyas Lacy begin with Lacy, to
Maud de Lacy's moity to Geneville, Mortimer, Plantagenet, Tynne,
Dudley, Hopton, Morgan, Williams, etc.and from Margery de Lacy's moity
to de Verdun, de Burghersh, le Despencer, Beauchamp, and finally
Nevill.
Seeing the inheritance of the lord****p of Ewyas Lacy pass from family
to family is fascinating. The site conveys this complex inheritance in
a visually coherent layout.
