Catherine Moleyns wife of John Howard

by simon fairthorne <fairthorne@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jul 1, 2008 at 08:48 AM

I've hit a problem which, looking through the archives, didn't seem to be
completely resolved

CP has William Moleyns d 1425 with wife Margery
and a son, also William, who died 1429

under Norfolk they describe Catherine who married John Howard as daughter
of the William who died in 1425

this would make her mother Margery and this is the choice taken by Tim
Powys-Lybbe on his web site

But Leo on his site has Catherine the daughter of the younger William
making her mother Ann Whalesborough

There was discussion about the dates of death of the two William Moleyns
but I couldn't see any clear conclusions as to which William was
Catherine's father and with two respected authorities differing I'm a bit
bemused

cheers

Simon
