Simon,
CPR Hen. VI, 2:156 identifies Eleanor Moleyns as "the heir" of the younger
William Moleyns (d. 1429). Since Katherine, wife of John Howard, Duke of
Norfolk, did not die until 1465, if she had been a daughter of the younger
William Moleyns (d. 1429), she should have been mentioned as a co-heir.
Since she was not, it is almost certain she was the daughter of the elder
William Moleyns (d. 1425). Katherine was, most likely, a little older than
her husband.
