Re: Re-do of my grandmother's ancestor table

by Merilyn Pedrick <merilyn.pedrick@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jul 2, 2008 at 10:39 AM

Thanks for this update John.
Your #512, Richard ****ter, I have notes for him which say "Richard
****ter (husbandman) came in Rev. Joseph Hull's Company, sailing from
Weymouth, Dorset on or near 20 Mar 1634-5. He was one of the 21
families "to sit down at Wessaguscus", 8 Jul 1635. He was made a
freeman of the Massachusetts Bay Colony 18 May 1653 (Reg, 3: 192)
To his grandchild Thomas ****ter, only son of his son Thomas, deceased,
he gave his dwelling house, barn, orchard and land adjoining and other
lands at 21 years.
He was granted one of the great lots "on the Eastside of Fresh Pond" 2
Feb 1651-2 and 10 acres in the first Division and 30 acres in the second
Division 14 Dec 1663 (Weymouth land Grants, 281, 282, 284.)"
Your #514, Dr. Nicholas Byram, I have his wife as Martha Shaw, not
Susannah as you have. Martha was born 6 Jan 1632 at North Durham,
Halifax, York****re, daughter of Abraham Shaw (as you have) and Elizabeth
Bridget Best. Martha's sister Mary married John Bicknell, and her
brother, Deacon John Shaw, married Alice Phillips. I have all three
siblings as ancestors!
Best wishes
Merilyn Pedrick
