The definitive article on the Shaw ancestry (Russell F. Shaw, "The
English Ancestry of Abraham Shaw of Dedham, Massachusetts
(1590-1638)," _The Genealogist_, 10 (1989): 86-97, shows Abraham and
Bridget (certainly _not_ "Bridget Elizabeth") Shaw with a daughter
Susannah, baptized 25 May 1617 at Halifax, York****re. This must be
the one who married Nicholas Byram, whose widow was named Susannah,
and who had daughters marrying in the late 1650s (something not
possible for Martha Shaw, born 1633).
