Dear group -
I know Samuel Hyde of Norwich CT is considered a gateway ancestor, but
recall there was some question around the lineage of his ancestress,
Eleanor Molineux, wife of William Hyde (and some question whether he
descended from William's wife Ellen Stubbs or from wife Eleanor).
I've seen descents given for Eleanor from John of Gaunt and Richard
Beauchamp, 13th E of Warwick. Any opinions on Eleanor's lineage will
be most appreciated - and thank you to those who responded to my query
about Dorothy James.
