Sorry, but it looks like you're 0 for two. Samuel Hyde is not
considered a royal gateway ancestor by either Gary Boyd Roberts or
Douglas Richardson (i.e. not in RD600 or Plantagenet Ancenstry).
There is a 2 volume Hyde Genealogy by R.H. Walworth (1864) as well as
Dorothy Rudd Dumond's Some Ancestors & Descendants of Joseph Rudd, Jr.
1740-1818 and His Wife, Sarah Story, 1744-1842 of Bennington, VT
(1982) which also covers the Hydes. By the way, Samuel Hyde d. in
Cambridge, William Hyde (no known relation) d. in Norwich, CT. The
William Hyde is the ancestor of three U.S. presidents (Ford, Fillmore,
and Cleveland). Samuel Hyde is the brother of Jonathan Hyde. See
NEHGR 71:144 for his descendants.
