Re: Oliver Cromwell and Abigail Brewer

I did get someone asking me once to help them trace their obviously
American Indian ancestry through the female Fnu Lnu.

I've now taken to using "Unknown Unknown", "Mr Unknown", "Unknown
Smith" and so on.

Just like I've stopped using BEF 1650 and AFT 1780 and now say
something like

"Living not dead in 1650 when a grant..."
"Living not dead in 1860 when in St Louis, Missouri"

Also far far too many people are copying my dates without the "bef,
aft, abt" or they are using my birth ranges as exact birth and death
years.

Of course OneWorldTree makes this worse because they either can't or
won't get the idea that you can know a person exists and "fl 1250"
without knowing that they were born or died that year. "About" really
doesn't cover "fl" in my perception.
