The pedigree of Montgomery of Sherington in the 1634 Visitation of
Bucks (HSP v. 58) is very short (3 generations or so) and does not
mention an Anne Montgomery or any Smiths.

You might find something on this family in Lipscomb's "History and
Antiquities of Buckingham****re".
