FWIW, the pedigree I cited ends with the following individual:
"Sherington Montgomery a da. and h." [sic]. It was not immediately
clear to me whether "da. and h." referred to Sherrington (the British
do have a quirk of using surnames as given names even for their
daughters!) or to his daughter. But perhaps the "da. and h." refers
to the Anne who mar. Richard Halford.
Sherington [sic] is shown as the child of William Montgomery of
Sherington and his wife Margaret, dau. of Robert Belcher of Lam****t,
Lanca****re. William is shown as the son of Michael Montgomery of
Sherrington [sic].
