The NorthEast Do***ent Conservation Center has many leaflets
covering preservation issues. See:
   www.nedcc.org/resources/leaflets.list.php
They have a Frequently Asked Questions section too at:
   www.nedcc.org/ask/frequently.php

The American Library of Congress has a webpage on preservation
   www.loc.gov/preserv/
and one on Digital Preservation
   www.digitalpreservation.gov
and one on preserving works on paper
   www.loc.gov/preserv/care/paper.html

And using your search engine for "paper preservation" will come up
with many more.
