Finding data - change in trends?

by "D. Stussy" <spam@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Dec 12, 2007 at 03:30 PM

Although many of us may use the genealogy-specific web sites and their
data,
I have found lately (past 2 months or so) that my personal genealogy web
site is receiving alot more hits referred from general search engines such
as google and yahoo (among others). Is it a trend that people are opting
for
the general search engines - or are there simply alot more people
interested
in researching their ancestry, so the increased traffic I'm seeing (from
the
referring page field) coming from the search engines is simply an overall
increase in the volume of people researching?

Simply curious.
