They just put in the 'seed' info, the old outlines, so that we would
have a framework to build the updated pages on.  So by all means dive
in and update the Quebec Church Records page you mentioned was way
outdated.

The way the wiki is supposed to work is that when someone comes across
information in it that is stale, outdated, or otherwise wrong, to just
go in and correct it.  If you screw something up in the process, you
can revert the edit and start again if necessary.

Salt Lake knows that all the outlines are outdated, yes, they said
that many have not been updated for years.  Knowing that, and knowing
that we need the latest information available to find ancestors and
the records that were left about them, they set up the wiki.  It's for
everyone, not just those at the library who run it.  They provide the
site, run the hardware and some moderation activity, but it's up to us
to update it.

If anyone wants to update a page about a locality and make it a group
effort, have at it.  There has already been a successful effort on the
National Library of Wales page where they have listed all the
microfilm numbers on a subpage, so you can find it no matter where it
was in the catalog as far as its listing, some were listed under one
heading, while others were in other headings.
