No. We (that is, the movie-ticket-buying public) do, of course.

It's a you-scratch-my-back-I'll-scratch-yours situation: American
moviegoers pay big bucks to have CGI-drunken thrillers fill the screen
and take their minds off everything that really frightens them, and
Hollywood keeps supplying the visual booze.
